A typical problem when replacing a legacy computer system is interfacing to the existing I/O subsystem. Matching the timing, electrical signals, and the physical electrical connections can be a challenge.
Although the TITAN VMTM & TITAN XPTM software handles the virtualization of the legacy computer onto a new commercial off the shelf (COTS) computer, the legacy I/O needs to be interfaced to the newly virtualized legacy computer. The TITAN IOTM module module is designed to be flexible and customizable to enable interface from the legacy IO subsystem to the new virtual TITAN VM system.
